The City of Lapwai wants to assure its residents that the concern with interrupted sanitation service is a temporary situation. As of 12 P.M. noon on Wednesday October 1st, Latah Sanitation Inc. delivered temporary containers to our commercial accounts throughout the city.
Residents are encouraged to utilize the containers at the following locations: one container at Lapwai City Park, two containers at Lapwai Fire Station, and two containers in the Valley Foods Parking lot.
Plans are in place to have 33-gallon residential containers delivered by the end of business hours on Friday October 3rd. These containers are temporary until the residential containers are delivered.
Pick up of residential containers will continue as normal on Tuesday. The City recognizes there may be special needs by our elders, if further assistance is needed, they can call City Hall at 843-2212.
