Form of Government
Lapwai utilizes a City Mayor – Council form of municipal government. The City of Lapwai is governed by the City Council, which has the power and responsibility to set policy for the City, to select the City Clerk and the City Attorney, to enact ordinances, to set the budget, and generally to act as the legislative branch and exercise oversight of the conduct of affairs of the City.
Monthly Meetings
The Council holds regular meetings every 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 7pm. Meetings are held at City Hall, located at 315 S Main St. The meetings are open to the public and local citizens are encouraged to come to the meetings.
