Position: Water & Waste-water Operator and General Maintenance
Job Status: Operate and maintain the City of Lapwai water and wastewater utility system, park, streets and general maintenance.
Position Requires:
High School Diploma, three (3) years experience in related maintenance position, experience in operating light/heavy equipment and power tools, workable knowledge of Microsoft Office software, excellent written and oral communication skills, math skills, an ability to consistently follow oral and written directions, must be articulate, personable and able to relate professionally and positively to residents, visitors and coworkers at all levels, and must maintain regular and punctual attendance. Supervisory experience preferred. Water and wastewater operator certification is desired but not required, however the ability to obtain and maintain state and federal certification for water and wastewater within a designated time frame is required, Successful applicant must be available for emergency calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable on city’s insurance.
Background checks will be obtained prior to hiring.
Hourly wage DOE.
